The Enchanting World of Pria

‘Pria’ is a duo made up of Franco-Romanian sisters Nani and Emilia.

Their first single came out in September 2024 and since then, the duo has had many more releases establishing their unique lullaby-like sound.

Within their discography, ‘Pria’ invites listeners to escape into what can only be described as a dream. Their songs dance along the boundary between beautiful and haunting, an effect achieved primarily through the sisters’ vocal performance. Their high-pitched range combined with a delicate, airy tone enhances the ethereal quality of their music. When their voices aren’t engaging in an entrancing call and response, they frequently come together in harmony, a complimentary relationship that reflects the bond of their sisterhood while also evoking an emotional response from listeners. 

‘Pria’s’ first single of 2025 titled ‘From Above’ perfectly encapsulates the unearthly nature of their musical landscape. Through delicate orchestration made up of ghostly piano and floating strings with a steady breath-like pulse, the songs come alive. What’s more, the lyrics profoundly capture the feeling of coming home, emphasised by the section the sisters chose to sing in their native language of Romanian. The words are all at once dreamy and sentimental, a description befitting of Pria’s discography overall.

With the recent release of their debut EP titled Who will see me then, ‘Pria’s’ musical journey is just getting started, with much more on the way that you won’t want to miss.
